Per aspera ad astra

amandapartment

September 24th, 2008

After schlepping the remainders of my CR apartment to Mount Vernon, Piell and I have a new apartment! While we think away about creative apartment warming party titles for facebook, here’s a quick tour.

The stairs up to the place are a little eerie, but don’t worry! I promise there is cuteness within. Once you get past the sliding metal door and (slightly cuter) wooden door.

See? Welcome to our living room. My couch is fairly big, but looks super tiny. I think I need a few floor rugs.

And then here’s the view from aforementioned couch.

Peeking into my kitchen. If you can ignore part of my ridiculous collection of snowglobes and look up, you can see a portion of the skylight.

Here’s the kitchen from the other side. The ugly cabinet shades have to go, but there’s promise!

Walk down the hall and there’s a nice-sized bathroom (do you really want a photo of my shower? It’s not as cool as my Korean bathroom, I promise), followed by my bedroom.

I was pleasantly surprised that my current comforter/bed suited the room so well. Mostly because I am totally in love with my bed and its fluff. My bedroom is awkwardly long- I think I may have to splurge on a Love Sac (or two) for reading purposes :)

Right next to the living room is Piell’s bedroom. I don’t use the term loosely- she can literally fit her futon and a small storage dresser-type thing in this room. However, as it’s the first room of her own she’s had in quite some time, she’s happy enough with it.

As a final bonus, did I mention our lovely place is right above one of the cutest coffeehouses ever? :)

About

If I give you a penny, you will be one penny richer and I'll be one penny poorer. But if I give you an idea, you will have a new idea, but I shall still have it, too.
