Birthday Advice!
Since I’ve outgrown that stage where I get balloons and cake for my birthday (a pity, really), I’ve decided to treat myself to something nice this year. And while I’m decent at thinking up presents for other people, I’m awful at decision-making for myself. So- please advise me! Here are the choices I’ve come up with:
a. Buy myself something pretty. This is an easy enough option- I don’t have a lot of jewelry because I’m super picky (and previously ) I’d probably get something with opal (my birthstone)- perhaps this?
b. Fly myself somewhere pretty. Fortunately I’ve narrowed this down to two logical options: NYC or Morocco. I’ve never been either place and have friend(s) both places who could help with accommodations/travel tips. Downfall is that I don’t have time to do either in my birthday month- NYC would have to wait until November, Morocco until January, most likely.
c. Skydive. I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, and there are a few places I could do it in Iowa. I’d have to decide whether to do tandem (short training-instructor joined to you) or accelerated free-fall (more training- instructor next to you)- if you’ve dived before and have thoughts, please share!
Or something else entirely! Thoughts?
